Seeing what Adam Winer did with his Ready message, I went and changed the Ready message on my V60 phone to

V12 BiTurbo

However, in the dashboard it still comes up and says READY. I've rebooted the phone and the car to no avail.

What's the secret to changing the message in the dash?

All you do is make it into a Phone book entry and Make it show up as that on your screen. I did it on my SL55 And my wife's CL55. and you go through your phone book entries and you leave it as that and every time one start the car you must do it again.

That is correct. I only did it for the pictures. Other than that it is useless.
