Speak to the guys at cartronic .. I would think that the Bose amp is designed specifically to the speakers or the other way around .. impedance and voltage wise .. I think they have an adapter from the MOST signal to a Preamp , that would allow you to use a different amp than the OEM Bose but you have to remember that the OEM Bose speakers might also be a weak point .. so you have to plan a system around ONLY an upgraded amp or upgraded amp and speakers. Can someone point us to a thread that describes in detail the components of the OEM system.. ( I know that Bose dont list specs on their parts ) any wiring diagram ?

i ask a local audio shop, and they mentioned i should buy a 6 channel amp and tap it in to the stock amp which will make the speakers sound alot better.... they quoted me around $1000 total

Unless it is an Audio shop that actually worked on a similar model or they checked stock setup and voltages , I would take what they say with a grain of salt. I am still looking for the OEM stock audio diagram for that car but I bet it is not one amp but two or more .. they usually are made by Bose and built to specifically drive the stock speakers , they also receive an input signal from the command unit which " MAYBE " via D2B or MOST lines ( not exactly your common RCA lines ) , if they do , it will be hard to find any amp to accept such input lines....which means conversion/ adapter ...even if the stock system sends a signal via regular analog lines to the amp, the voltage has to be checked and see if it is the right one to drive the replacement amp ... then whatever that amp is , must be matched to the stock speakers electrically ..I would bet that it is not 123... of course I have seen many hack jobs .. and some may sound louder .. rarely do they sound better .. thats my opinion .
