thought i would just share some info to all you guys... today i was installing my throttle body on my 2005 cl65, and i quickly noticed a issue with the factory set up... whille i was installing the new throttle body gasket i noticed that the gasket is not perfectly sized to the intake manifold, then i put the gasket on the throttle body and notice it was not size property also... so i took out my messuring tool and messured the intake and throttle body and noticed they are not the same size... the intake manifold is 70,000ths bigger then the throttle body, and the gasket is so off that i could not believe it.. it was a good 2mm smaller then the throttle body and about 3mm smaller then the intake manifold.. port matching in the racing industry is a very very popular thing.. so i had a talk with my dad, which he is a pro machinest and i will have him machine the throttle body and gasket to match the intake manifold. who knows if it will help, but port matching is a proven method for performance gains.. also i guess mercedes designed it this way becuase the throttle body and gasket is universal to all v12s and the only specific part for a 65 engine is the intake manifold.. so port matching these items might is helpfull
