hey guys,
i've got a question.
just for ****s and giggles i did a search on ebay for new AMG"S for sale. it turns out that there are a quite a few on ebay open for bid. they seem to be brand new and the bid prices are much lower than list. are these vehicles for real????

i'm a novice at ebaying.
i'll double check what the details are.
but...there a lot of AMG's available and they seem to be available for much less than if you purchased at a dealer.

What you are seeing is the current bids. But if you look it will say "Reserve Not Yet Met", which means that the bid price has not yet reached the price the seller will take for the item.
That is why you got excited. Beleive me, If I could pick up some more 2003's for 70K I would buy them all.

dealers must be fishing for big numbers.
i was actually tempted to put a bid in on a silver CL55 just to see if i got lucky!:p

Based on talking to the GM of the local Mercedes lot, fair tradein value right now appears to be MSRP less 10 or 20K. Ask is MSRP to MSRP plus 10.
Expo on eBay has a CL600 with Buy Now for MSRP less 5K rightnow. I imagine 55s are doing maybe a little better than 600s right now.
