For all intents and purposes its close enough to a CL55... my CL600 is my daily driver, or at least my "too ugly out to drive a convertible", or "I need a third or fourth seat today car".

Not as civilized as my old 750iL, but quite livable. The suspension is a little aggressive for our roads here, but other than that its great!

I hated the 750, the only BMW I would ever buy/lease the X5. But my friend ordered the 760Li and it is supposed to be a great car, but I would still buy a S600.

I hated the X5, and I drove the S55 three days ago, and its a pretender. To each their own, I suppose.

Weird looks...

When I drive my wife's car(CL55) I can see that I get much more turned heads looking at the car than in my SL55. Does anyone else see that?

I drive mine daily and keep my suspension in sport mode. I have an ML 430 for winter use. I am really spoiled by the Keyless Go. Lots of looks. There is only one other CL in my town.

I use mine daily also. Also the keyless go is the best thing since heated seats.
I cannot imagine a more convenient option.

I use my CL55 daily. I now have about 4000 miles on my car in three months. The car is an absolute pleasure, especially when pushed. There are very few cars of any category on the road that come close to its dynamic capabilities and design. The open air experience, while not that of a convertible, is quite good with the windows down and the sunroof open. I have noticed that the exhaust note has improved. The keyless go is a very convenieint feature, as is the trunk opener/closer. I will get an A8 for the winter to replace my 740i.
BTW, my experience driving my wife's 03 SL500 Sport in the area around our house in south Florida was that the top was closed most of the time. It was either too hot and sunny on the city roads in Miami/SB or too noisy on the interstates for top down driving. My wife never felt particularly secure with the top down. She has since sold it and kept her 02 CL 500 Sport. There are a disproportinately high number of new SL's in south Florida, IMO.

1997 S600 - Bentley Turbo R (black/black)
daily driver

I also use my 85 ford escort station wagon as my daily driver...

Hard to find faded yellow car..with custom rust spots and holes all over...and under its eye catching station wagon, yellow rusted body is a killer super rusted muffler with holes to provide multi air out take...makes this lovely loud noise, that i also get looks from people driving down the road...

My wife drives a rare brown 79 caprice...the rust on that just blend in perfectly with the brown...we opted for a plastic passenger window taped to perfection in black and red tape... this car is more of a weekend car...and you should see the looks we get from people while driving it....they instantly move out of the way or duck their head down..as so the car tends to give the illusion of a drive-by gangsta automobile...

lool j/k
