Very good question...Iam having trouble selling my current E55...the new one came in and I didnt want to trade this one in for what they wanted to give me...so Iam waiting to sell my current E55 and I think Iam going to get the CL55. I test drove the CL600 and the CL55 at Euro in Bethesda and I am in love with the CL55.

Well...im not going argue with you getting the CL55 over the E55. However, we have a '03 S600 at the office here and I was recently taken to lunch in it, sounds absolutely amazing, unlike anything else and the power is absolutely amazing as well. The price difference is aprox. $10K, and I know the 600 doesnt look as sporty as the CL55, but there is something to say (and hear)about a V12. MBUSA says it does the 60MPH dash in 4.6, but if the S can do it faster, so can the CL. Im sure youve seen "treynors" results as well with just a ECU mod, I believe he has accomplished 0-60MPH in 3.6. Did you get to see the new C&D this month, it has a writeup on the S600, they were able to do 0-60 in 4.3 seconds and it was all photographed in DC, Cherry Blossoms, Library of Congress, etc. Jay....you may want to rethink it. Good Luck selling your E55

I vote for the CL600!

Iam familiar with "treynors" results and the HP difference between the two...but its more than HP....having owned an AMG car its hard to leave the "club"...The CL600 was way too quiet for my taste and the brakes as compared to the AMG were horrible...the suspension was tighter..seats were way more supportive....

2003 CL55 AMG
Jay has a good point. Both cars are wonderful. Each has its pro's and con's. Either way you can't go wrong.

Jay...

I agree w/ your points 100%, AMG just feels a little tighter and a little more sporty.

Cheers.

Why not get the AMG package on the CL 600 with the badge...

Then you can be happy and have a V12

OMG 3.6 seconds Now thats //AMG Power. I love AMG cars but some of the 0-60 times could be better I think the SL55 should be below 4.0 seconds for a car of its class.
