That's my question... Is there a such thing as a cl500, 600, or 55 with no abc issues?

That will never happen. All systems will fail in the end and the ABC is one of those such systems.

As long as you have all the money to repair it correctly, it should never be an isssue really.

I guess if you have enough money nothing should ever be an issue.

They all have problems. 07 and newer are more reliable, but still have their fair share.

But when it works abc does wonders to those heavy cars.

The AMG's are more dependable- ABC has never been an issue to me

ALX is right the ABC is awesome and works well for our cars...

Now-
I have only owned the AMG's and a few CL600's but 90% have been CL65's and S65's- I can tell you with the many miles and the many I have owned I HAVE not put any money into ABC repairs and I will put my life on the line with that comment and fact. People find this hard to believe but it all depends on where the cars come from and how they are driven.

Also ABC issues dont happen all at once and they are IMO very very cheap to fix. Struts are less then $800 to install and the rest is cheap too.

Almost all of my cars have NOT been from Cali and NYC and mostly from the midwest and Florida. Road conditions play a big part in the wear and tear.

Again this is what I have experienced and i ONLY USE the same 5 star Mercedes shop for over 6 years. And they too will admit I have not been in with any of my cars for ABC.

I am also not currently a car dealer and have no dealer license and my cars all have been with a few exceptions in my name and all were driven regularly.

So there you go with well over 30 of these ABC cars and I have been either lucky or just picked the right cars or they are more dependable then they are giving credit for.

Oh, really? How about the ABC strut you installed? Does that not count as part of the ABC system?

It was on the VMI at 32k miles ..not during my ownership

BLOWN? And one strut? In 100k plus miles?? Which is nothing btw in terms if what the car overall can see...its an easy 250k mile car...The v12tt was R&D'd to see a half million miles without serious issues...Granted my car is probably without a doubt in as good or better condition then any other CL65 with less then 50k miles on it-

I recently came across two CTS-V's. one 2010 and the other a 2009. Both around 40-45k miles. Both were rattling and the interior was wearing a bit more then mine even at 7 years old and twice the miles... U get what u pay for. $200k gets u A LOT of car. And A LOT of used car.

Besides--
But come on. One abc repair is a godsend compared to the BS issues people don't buy the cars out of warranty for. I hate seeing a envy or inquisitive person asking about my CL when they r in a GT500 or SRT8. They always wonder the obvious and I tell them to man up and learn about cars. $200k msrp car gets u gold at $40k on the used market. And a $200k car is built to last with the right factory parts... Not the other way around. Saying OMG it will cost u a arm and leg if it breaks. It use to be a $200k car. Lmao. So I guess a $37k Camaro SS will be more dependable? since well its newer and? BS not true.. NO way dude. It's the other way around. And yes I know our cars are much more complex and such. But Mercedes built the most powerful road car to last not to break down and end up like most American recyclable sportscars....

I swear if I had a dollar for each fool who passed up buying a 600hp CL or S65..to get a warranted C63 or other model I would be able to buy another one.

Fact is. They are dead *** reliable for what they offer. They are cooler then just about anything else short of $50k more to buy like a GTR etc.

For $35k. No 600hp Benz should exist. It's too cheap and they are worth their weight in gold IMO. After owning them for over 5 years and being in the game still and I have owned some awesome cars during that time... I can say there is no substitute for a mercedes running 10's. NO WAY IN HELL

Ppi report for an 03 cl500 with 52k miles on it says valve covers/gaskets are seeping. Is this an abc thing?
I would have asked the service advisor myself but I was not there.
The service advisor said this:
"The oil seepage from the valve covers and the rear axle are very minor, and that he would not have them repaired if the car belonged to him."

Is this an abc related leak?

Also... the right rear tire was excessively worn on the inside.
Could this be an indication of abc acting up and one corner sitting lower as a result of it?

Oil seepage from the valve covers and the rear axle are not ABC (suspension) related however are engine and transmission related.

I have seen the upper oil baffle covers on the valve covers seep; They usually need to be removed cleaned and resealed.

Valve covers however should not be leaking nor should the rear axle. This is not normal.

Lol. Some of u r funny

ALX I didn't expect the comment. Since your stable of cars and knowledge is not much different then mine. And we both have been and seen the many sides of the car business.
You are certainly no better then me and I am no better then you.

I come to this forum to rave the very car I own and drive and with enthusiasm. I don't come here to check the weather and hope my car starts the next day based on opinions and then sit back and fall asleep at the wheel while logged in here because it's harmful to my intelligence to be excited I own a AMG that blows the doors off my old GTR and my current F430 and it remains extremely reliable doing so. But then again aren't forums for just looking at pics and ads and responding to insightful phantom issues our cars should have? Car forums = paint by number

Oliverk is still driving that S500 but can testify about every Benz built to date. IDK man ...IDK about you.... Personally u guys can rant or cry or just hate your cars or love them. Not my problem. My opinion is just based on my experience and it has always been great with AMGs. I will still buy more. I will still own almost all out of warranty. What you all do and think means nothing to me. What a new owner wants to know about these cars I will share my positive experiences.

Good luck with those broken down all the time Mercedes Benz's you all keep driving...

Why do you drive them if they r always breaking down?

Lol. Just too hilarious

I have an unlimited amount of ability. Don't worry about me.

Worry about yourselves.

Problem is I am not doing anything wrong. Just justifying my ownership of my car. Seeing that I am around and run one of the fastest AMGs in the world..my reflection on this site should be positive. As my knowledge is higher then most guys here on the emphasis on these cars. Simply put I am maybe the biggest fan of AMG here. Period.

Oh, this has nothing to do with you or me or anybody. It is just that when somebody puts together "cl" or "sl" and "reliability" in the same sentence- makes me suspect of that persons real experience with said cars.

They are not reliable, not maintenance and repair friendly and they do have an awful track record for dealer dependency to stay running.

If younare telling me that your car is reliable despite high mileage and hard driving- I just don't believe you. That's all. Hope you don't take this the negative way.

ALX-- I have no reason to lie

I am not selling any cars here and i have no reason to lie

I HAVE had great experiences with my cars and thats over #16 65's
AND many other Mercedes too

My car does have only one strut replaced and all the rest is 100% original and untouched and it is 7 years old and with over 100k miles

I am claiming fact not fiction or BS... yeah people have abc isssues but a lot could be the reason too and not because the cars are just not well built
