Talking New owner, CL55 with some mods *pics

Hey guys, great forum! Just wanted to introduce my self, My name is Aydin and I just got into a CL55 which I thoroughly love..

My dad has been buying e55's since before they were supercharged, and I remember the first time he let me drive the newer model he got, the one with the m113 supercharged motor and it was game over. I knew I wanted one.

Anyways I had been focusing on my bikes (Duacti 916, Yamaha R1, Aprilia RS, and various others I kept rotating through the garage) while driving a BMW 740

but started looking for a CL, since I didnt need 4 doors (I'm 28, with a longtime gf but no kids. She has a clk430 which is nice but a bit small and not enough power IMO) so the CL was the natural choice.. Although I like the s55 as well.
Actually I'd love to see a CL with the S front clip/headlights transplanted.. That would be interesting if anyone ever made a franken-car out of those 2..

Well I drove 4 55's and 3 of them were rough. Then I found mine and struck a deal. Here's some pics, I've got some parts in the mail now, and some 'interesting' plans. Hope you like my style!

(first pic taken today after I installed the clear side markers, the others were earlier.. I'm adding mods to the car and will update here)

Thanks for looking

I am not a big fan of the wheels but the rest, even at 10 year old (2003), look as clean as new.

Great looking car. Not keen on the wheels, OEM wheels for me, i have the 65 AMG's on my 55.

All you need is a Woood and Leather Wheel to finish off the interior.

You willing to spend? Last time I checked, they were $1.7K apiece (for the 55/65). I've been hoping they would lower ...

It's actually only $1200 at the moment. I am NOT selling it. There is a website selling it but I am not sure I am allowed to post it here. PM if you need more info.

Looks clean but that 'Supercharged' decal cheapens the look big time

You also need a drop on that thing asap!

I was actually looking for the same steering wheel recently. The ones listed on Ebay are crap. I had one custom built by a company that also advertises here on MBworld but that was poorly executed as well so had to return it.
Finally found a company in Germany that does work for AMG and Porsche. They're sending me this one this week so will report later once I get it installed but I expect no less than OEM quality.

I believe the wheel your looking at is produced by MP Design, I put one with tiptronic on my cl65 last year. First rate quality,a nice classy up grade with a good feel, totally satisfied. Bought it thru Ecklers performanceproducts4benz, $1200. Installation is not too difficult, I used an old tutorial from these forms by awiner, there are others if you search, but his is very good.
