Long tube header install

Finally decided to install these exhaust headers since no one wanted to purchase them, Thank GOD!!

Long story short........

This is probably the most noticeable performance modification to date...

The sound and not to mention torque difference is amazing!!

Would recommend to anyone to do it. Contact Mike at MBH and have him hook up your AMG, it definitely deserves it and definitely worth the $3K.

Next a tune from Jerry tomorrow and i will have the car on the dyno tomorrow afternoon to see what kind of HP/TQ difference it has made.

If you are on the fence about headers, the sound at idle is deeper but not obnoxiously loud.

And when on the throttle, man oh man, you would think you are on the racetrack

Happy new years fellas... I'm shooting for 10's this yr... Wish me luck

What were the gains with the header? That's some serious power.

Wow - is that at the crank or wheels? I need to see what the 65 will do. I think a stock 216 65 hits high 400s HP (slightly less than the 215 cars for some reason) and I'm guessing I'd be in 530-550HP range after the ECU tune...

An estimated flywheel hp based on 15% loss thru drivetrain would be about 613hp/684tq
Sweet

Dude 15% on a auto trans with a converter is conservative. It's more like 18%, so more like 630HP and 700TQ at the flywheel.

Freaking awesome.

A stock 65 sees around 500HP and supposed to have 604 at the crank - that's about 16.6% drivetrain loss. This is a hell of a 55!

Everyone always gets hung up on the HP. The torque is what gets you off the line and the HP keeps you there. Take a look at a modded CL65 torque to the wheels... Its mind blowing. Buts all of those Cummins guys to shame. I always laugh and tell my wife to buy a travel trailer and we will use the CL65 to tow it LOL.

But it does put on a nice show .

Even in roll racing, an extra 150 ft/lbs at the wheels makes a huge difference.
