The things that bothered me most were the stupid supercharged stickers and the ridiculous alcantara material added on top of the stock steering wheel. It looked like a halfass steering wheel cover- but said "it's just the way he wants it- fully custom" blah blah. If you're going to do something, do it right or don't bother at all.
Not a fan of the clear markers. Euro delete is the way to go.

Here's my custom one-off steering wheel (DTM Flat bottom, red stitching, carbon fiber top, red ring, thick side grips, perforated leather and carbon fiber paddle shifters - plus I got the 4 wheel control buttons done in carbon as well and attached, custom-wise the - and + silver little buttons on each side that didn't come on the wheel to make it look more legit)
And he the nerve to say my $h!t is ricer compared to the rag he wrapped around the top of his wheel.

What he did to his car was pretty bad unfortunately. Some people understand and some don't. It simple as that. He did put forward an effort that the majority of people on this forum (including myself) do not when it came to write ups.
Some of the stuff was goofey and would not personally do, but I think its everyone choice to do whatever they want to their car. You just have to know how to properly deal with other opinions when called out on your choices.

I just never said anything before because I didn't want to get into it.
BTW I wanted to add the + and - to my custom wheel as well, but would have to provide them. How did you get it done (and where are they, because I don't see them in the phtoo?)

This are just the photos of the finished product DCTMS sent me. After I got it, I had the steering wheel control buttons (orignally they're just gray/charcoal plastic bttons) done in carbon and I took off the - and + little buttons from the old, stock steering wheel and carved in just a tincy wincy little hole to fit hold them in and glued them in inside for safe measure so they stay in perfectly. Look beautiful and the grips from top to bottom make it feel so much nicer and sportier

lol so how did he get banned? what did I miss?
I honestly enjoyed his videos, it was cool for someone from the w215 community doing stuff like that. When I was around with the CL there was no one who made videos.
But even being nice, that car was hideous! Who deletes their fogs like that having that error pop up every time you start the car....

Speaking of grilles, did you see the new CLA grille? It's the only thing I like about it, that 3D concaving grille. Wonder how that would look if done right with the CLs with the single fin....

Honestly, not a huge fan of the single fin grilles on the CL regardless of background design. I think part of the reason is that on the C215 shape in general, the grille opening is very small. So doing a single fin, in my opinion of course, just doesn't flow with the shape of the grille opening at all. You're trying to be bold with a single fin in that small hole, but because it's small, it doesn't allow the grille to be as bold as it is on the newer MBs that feature the single fin design. Of course, just my $0.02.

Sounds great. Of course that was just my opinion and it can certainly change. If you do try it out, I'd be very excited to see the results.

I'also plan doing as we ll as the lower center mesh and fog delete stock mesh.....all new 3D style in carboned or bloack/red accents.. it'd be different, puls I can professionally cut and widen the openings and still make it look OEM, bigger openings, and I'll only use the OEM CLA grill..may revitalize it. the W215 If not, I'll jusy use bigger OEM AMG coneycomb grille

I agree. I wasn't a fan of anything per say except that he had a nice stock CL55. The clear markers were def an improvement over the orange in a silver car, but that's it. Oh gosh, that Pep Boy top steering wheel portion. I'm sure it made him turn and grip and feel the car better. And it looked more like a shammy wrapped rather than Alcantara lol

Single fin SL grille
I just saw this post. I had an 03 CL55 for a few years before getting the C216 63. The single fin SL grille is something i see often on C215's. MY OPINION. its just not it. No ifs ands or buts about. I would rather see the sleek lines with the star hood ornament anyday over that SL grille. It just looks so 3rd hand, 21 year old buyer-ish. The proportions are just not right.
