Grille test #1, Stock style with *No star
This came today, and I like it. Reminds me of the E55.
I also have a Black, with chrome star stock SL63 grille coming in soon.
For now, I'll keep this one on. It's pretty slick IMO.

Anyhow, I have a black AMG badge on the hood rightnow that I do like..
Here's a phone camera pic from a couple days ago, before I swapped the grilles, where you can just make it out. Sorry I dont have any better pics showing it. It is an especially nice mod for cars with the mercedes star in the grille, as having 2 star logos just inches from one another is quite redundant.

Finally, here's the SL63 style grille I have on order, with expected delivery in 2 weeks.
I saw this car driving and knew I liked it.. So I decided to order all the aftermarked grilles for this model car I could find that looked nice.
Except mine has a different mesh pattern in the star area..
Should resemble the SL63, but with my favourite classic style 4 lamp mercedes headlights.

Very nice man, I'm diggin it. Now you gotta lower the front a little more and it will be perfect. I just got my car back from the shop, got my transmission mount and motor mounts replaced. Also waiting on a tire to come in. Will post pictures of my new setup when I get it mounted.

The factory grille on my 55 is showing wear, rock Chips, bug stains, etc. Can you tell where SL style one comes from and roughly what it costs? Is it supposed to be a direct fit? Thanks...

My car looks ****ing awesome. I think yours looks ugly and cheap as the city you live in, but I'm not a ***** who thinks my own opinion of other guys cars should matter to anyone but myself.

1. We're talking about your ugly cheap *** car, not mine. But since you don't like the stock chrome, email AMG designers and give them your opinion, I'm sure they'll listen to you. (Don't forget to attach some pictures of your car, I'm sure they need a good laugh)

More people are starting to tell him the truth. Coming at me for having tons of carbon fiber a custom one off hood lol.If he likes it, that's fine. But he just keeps rambling about it. The only thing he did that looks proper are the clear side markers (which most likely still light up yellow). Nothing else. The Chinese AMG badges, a 'Supercharged' badge on the trunk (
), the mismatched mesh, tinting the front lights (which look brown in the day), unflattering rims for the body etc... like WTFIf you want to make it custom, do it right, especially when its a CL.

He tried posting things to help out. Can not blame the guy for that. When you modify one of these cars in the way that he did you need to expect comments from people. Good or bad. It was how he reacted to them is what did him in.

I don't get it, why did he wait til he got banned? He made a whole "Goodbye/I'm Leaving MBWorld/This Place Sucks" thread. But he just kept posting/making new threads/staying around knocking everyone that had anything but the positive criticism he was so confident he'd receive fir his "mods."

Not a fan of the clear markers. Euro delete is the way to go.
