HOW TO: (video* +photo guide) Lower your car with $150 [adjustable] lowering links.
SubscribeThanks L.E.190, I'm uploading the video now.. I think it's a pretty good video showing the procedure, and the results. Should be ready in about 30 mins..

Got a few questions. What were the measurements of the front and rear links if I wanted to match your lowering level? My CL lowers down more at higher speeds. Do you have any problems with it rubbing on high speed turns? Do you have a link to the website for the lowering links?

Nice job man. I made my own links for half that price but a little more work.
Heres a picture of my oem link and my custom link.

You can get all the parts at your local Orchard Supply Hardware store.
You should maybe consider getting a real jack for your projects because that stock one is unsafe. I had a bad experience with it, I almost had my legs crushed from my car slamming on the ground. Just saying... I do see that your using jack stands so thats ok. The stock jack does come in handy though because I can't get any other jacks under my car, too low haha. Anyway, keep up the good work man.

Yeah you can make them, and its funny you mention that because I was at home deopt today looking for some parts. I didnt research at all before buying them, so eh. Its Just some threaded rod.
I ended up welding them into position today haha since they weren't all that sturdy with how littlw thread I had attaching the ball joints.
As for the jack issue, yes I have a floor jack, but I like the goofy MB one, since I always use jackstands, if I were to use the floor jack then I couldnt lower the car onto the jackstands resting on the pads.

When you say you welded them into position, do you mean the adjustable thread or the actual head of the link to the ball joint? Also do you remember what length your link was set at to finally get that height?Originally Posted by nidyanazo
