How do you release coolant hose coupler?

I need to replace the upper radiator hose on my 2003 CL55. The end of the hose joining the radiator has a quick release style coupler. How is this designed to be released?

I bet it is simple

Yes, simple and just pull the U shaped wire clip down under the coupler and pull the coupler off.

Yes - and clip is not so eay to get to on my CL55. It is on the underside of the hose.

When installing the new hose, do I have to pull the clip down or just push on the hose?

Thank you again

I have completely removed the clip from the coupler and cannot get the hose to let go of the radiator. I have pulled, twisted and pryed and get almost no movement from the hose.

They can be tight to pull off but they do just pull off. My upper came off easy but the lower was hell. Try some lubricant around the connection. You need to put the clip half way on the new hose and then clip it on, after you slide new hose on.
