Buying 2005 CL55 AMG or CL65 AMG ?

I am currently looking at a 2005-2006 CL55 and CL65 AMG's and have some questions about them.
Which one is more reliable in terms of daily driving? and do they consume gas the same or does the V12 on the 65 consume considerably more?
Before making purchase on a 7-8 years old Mercedes Benz AMG vehicle, what should I consider in terms of what type of warranty I should get and in doing pre-purchase inspection, what should be looked for?
The vehicle I am looking at ATM is a 2005 CL55 AMG 78k miles and white exterior / tan interior with 20" AMG rims.
If I do get this car, It will have to be shipped across the state because it's in Arizona and I'm in NorCal.

The 55 is the one I would go for if reliability is more your concern. See if the car has had an ABC pump replacement. If it hasn't, then it's only a matter of time until it needs to be done.

05 CL65
Only ran a few tanks of gas through my 05CL65 so far but getting better than 13 mpg & having lots of fun. Not sure the 55 is any more reliable, but cheaper to maintain due to less spark plugs, LOL. Love the color. Mine is also white but with grey interior. I paid a lot more, but with only 42,000 miles on it, new front & rear rotors & pads & tires. Only flaw on inspection was horn doesn't work.
