info. on autel md802 obdII scanner
anyone used the autel md802 obdII elite mxdiag graphing scanner? supposedly does the same diagnostics as a star system. hard to believe, but would like your input and does it do the rodeo?

The MD802 is a nice OBDII scanner with a LCD screen for easy navigation and monitoring/recording of some live data streams.
It will not access most the modules in a Mercedes however and certainly can't do the actuation's nor programming/coding DAS was made for.

Nope. That is an actuation. Nothing 'inexpensive' will do it.
The only devices that I know will preform actuations other than DAS/Xentry was a Chinese produced unit. I forgot the name and manufacture, but it was just as expensive if not more than a good DAS clone.
The other is a Carsoft mux with later generation software. Again a pricey unit vs a clone.
I have a early version of the Alpha-Bid unit with Carsoft software that I used before I had the real DAS system. I wrote a review on it here: https://mbworld.org/forums/mercedes-...ic-reader.html
I still have that unit too. I should sell it since after buying a DAS clone I won't go back :-)
