Can't lock the car with remote (2003 CL600)
Hello,
Strange problem. I can no longer lock the car with the remote, only with the manual key. Buttons on the dashboard ("lock" and "unlock") also do not work.
I can start the car with keyless go or with the key, no problem. System shows "no malfunction".
Did anyone have see this problem with locks? Actuators? Wiring?
Thank you,
S.

Start the car let it sit at idle for a while, maybe 10 min or so. Shut it off and try it. First thing to check however is your battery in the key. If all that does not work, disconnect your rear battery for about 15 min and hook it back up should be a go from there.
I had the same thing happen to me about a week ago, I thought it was because of the car sitting in the 10F weather for weeks but than I started it let it run for about 20 min and wen all done it started to work again.
Good Luck

Car has a brand new battery. It has been sitting for about 3 weeks. I will drive it a bit more and hopefully that will "reset" the locks.

Looking for part numbers/places where I can get these parts
Took the car for diagnostics and it is maintenance time - which means I have to shop around for parts:
- Trunk Lid Harness
- Spark plugs (2 per cylinder for a V12).
- Water pump is leaking
Any suggestions where I can get these/part numbers for 2003 CL600?
thank you
S.

I would check your ignition coils if your going to replace your spark plugs, also do a little online check for the spark plugs, you can get them down to under 10 bucks right now per plug compared to 20 bucks and they would still be NGK-IFR6QG which are recommended for our cars.
It may not seem like a lot but when you have 24 spark plugs that's easy 240+ back in your pocket, I got mine for 13 a pop when I had to do mine but I didn't plan ahead and I wanted to be back on the road ASAP lol, but if you have time just go order them now so there ready when it's in the shop

Spark plugs
Thank you. I found the BOSCH spark plugs (spec'd for 2003 CL600) on amazon for less than $8, with total cost of ~$190. How much labor (realistically) is to replace the spark plugs?
Ignition coils are working fine (phew!).

By the book I think it's 2.5-3 hours, but I'm pretty sure you can get it down to 1.5 for the total job if you know what your doing
