If I wasn't there for those dyno pulls and got those dyno sheets I wouldn't believe it either but I had easy 7 runs from 630-636 back to back when OEM air boxes were pulled out when I had my 3 inch exhaust in. If you pull out the air box you can see it gets really narrow when it goes down from the filters to the turbo. I was thinking about trying to cut and mod my OEM air box so it would have a much bigger hole from filter to turbo.
Also with your TB did you upgrade from the 600 to 65 TB or get something special? I got a spare 65 TB I was thinking about boring out even if its 2-4 more mm I'm curious what gains ill get even if it's a little

agreed, there is no way for the numbers to fall adding more airflow even if its before the intake. Any given car will gain HP with a full exhaust even if the intake wont be touched, correct me if I'm wrong but when Exhaust companies tell you their HP gains on exhausts its usually off a stock car not one that has upgraded parts. The more airflow mods you have the more HP should come from the combo

Idk if its difference in the size or not of the down pipe, most people that get down pipes for this car usually get it 2.75 and just do down pipes. From test runs with OEM air box it lost HP and with the cutouts open on my exhaust the car wasn't able to fish the runs on the dyno.
I'll get some dyno sheets when I head over tomorrow and post some OEM air box runs with cutouts open and closed. I know if you just tune and take the air box out theirs not gains based on the SL65 owners on the R230 forum. I'll either PM or txt Thericker about it too, since hes the only other person I know of, with 3 Inch down pipes, (Idk if it was the full exhaust or just down pipes) but he advised the OEM air boxes suck on the R230s with the little pipe doing into the turbo.
He was recommending making the OEM air box flow better by cutting the current pipe and make a much larger pipe in its place. I'm kinda curious to try it myself since the plastic construction of the air box should keep out heat. I'm also going to work on silicone piping too in a week or two and test heat soak of silicone piping next to the turbo which is right up against the engine vs aluminum pipe

I apologize for the inconvenience. We seemed to have some issues with emails going to the wrong folders. We have recently changed our services and its slowly getting worked out. Once again sorry for not being able to help you earlier.

Mine were delivered today and they look awesome. I can't wait to get them on and go for a blast!! It may take a week or so to find the time to dig out the garage and move the car to a bigger garage to work on....I'm trying to be patient since everything here is covered in salt.

Thanks guys, I'm looking foward to it. The car is going to feel like an animal regardless after not driving it for a few months. I'll just have to find a way to get use to a few extra horses. Like everyone else, working on a new intake set up is next.

Generally there is no issues with using the original sensors. Once in a while you may run into where moving the wiring around while removal might cause a break in the wire and it will code up almost instantly. But 99 out of 100 times they swap over with no issue. Good practice to follow is to spray a bit of penetrating oil around threads a few minutes prior to removal. On higher mileage cars over time the threads sometimes seize up and sensor will not come out without damaging the threads.

Hi, reviving an old thread!
Can you PM me a price on a setup complete for a 05 CL65 (including the adapters for stock exhaust etc) shipped to UK (postcode BT35 9ED).
Also what is the difference between cat less and the 200 cells cats - is one better than the other? Thanks
Thanks
