Quote: IMO the orange would look out of place under the hood with nothing else that color. I'd go black.
I was thinking the same thing. I'm going by this picture I would run everything that is red in that pic in Lambo Orange and would do the rubber couplers which are blue in the pic in Black and I would also do everything in Gloss Black with paint and even the valve covers in Gloss Black powder once my car goes in for Turbos. The Coolers would match up with intake tubing and brakes.

Here is the pic

This is a forum members car I believe so I hope its ok I use the pics

I can hydrograph it in carbon fiber but it gets really HOT so powder coat I think is the only option.

Congratulations on the TMIC purchase. I'd go with black though, like Brabus.

I was thinking about the black and really considering it but want to have something pop under the hood when its all done and I think the best thing is the coolers

Quote: It does !?!?
No they actually stay cool I figured since they sit under the hood they would be really hot but just double checked and they stay cool.

I will look into Carbon Fiber they do Hydrographics in that and might go that route. I'm still debating on what to do

I decided to go with the Lambo Orange for the intercoolers and intake piping. I will do the rubber couplers in black. I will also be doing the Valve Covers in Gloss Black as well once the car goes in for turbos and re doing everything else in Gloss Black under the hood. I will post pics once parts come back from powder.

Timmayfest is June 6th and 7th. If I end up with the CL65, I'll be making it with Steve this year. If you can't make it, how 'bout making WannaGoFast in Georgia in September. It's an anuual 1/2 mile race we've run the past two years.

This coming weeks sounds promising and if all goes well new pics will be posted with new updates. Since the intercoolers were a last min decision that is the only thing that could slow us down. Wheels with calipers should be back early this week.

My wheels came back and they turned out better than I expected thanks to the guys at Speedriven for the great turnout on these. The brakes are not done yet but should be back any time this week. I will post pics as soon as those come back as well. I'm debating getting a 20 inch drag radial for these before the tires go back on just to have some sort of traction.

I put the cap in gloss black in the wheel so you can see how it matches up the finish on the wheels is semi gloss black.

Tires are on and dropped of at Speedriven yesterday. Once the brakes are back the car should be slowly coming together. I will update you with updates as they come.
