Carfax looks good its def not the same car as the one at the auction that sold for $12,500. Is there a good vendor/tuner in your area for Mercedes? Do you know anyone that is a MB Tech?
I say its a very good price. My car is only a 2 owner its not a 65, its older and I would be right in that price range for a 600. But mine is clean with all service records. I would part it out or sell it to the right buyer with all the work it has done. (NOT SELLING JUST SAYING) I love it too much still and you will love this platform as much yourself.
