my cl 55 03, clicking in seats, dash lights flickering and windows wont work?
as much as i love my cl, there's a few things that makes me hate it! and that is when there's a problem that wont go away for nothing. i mean its crazy on how no body can figure out what causes the driver seat to make that clicking noise on back rest at shoulder height, at the same time all controls for seats and windows arent working, the clicking goes faster if i go fast, (like on freeway it will click twice/sec and at red light once /5sec.) also when the car is cold, it doesnt do it, also if i put it in neutral the clicking slows down signifiquely .
perhaps my issues with the tranny going to limp mode has something to do with it? any help will be so welcome at this point.

I know of two things that can click in the seats. There is a rubber bushing underneath on the bolts that goes bad, and the headrest guides can rattle. Sounds like you have bigger problems. Maybe check the fuses and if one is bad, unplug the seat, replace it, then see if your windows work.

It certainly has to do with something in the seat that is powered by something. I'm sure its not a bolt piece. Could it be the seat cooler fan or the lumbar support inflation device that is shorting out? I kind of want to open the seat up and listen closely. If it's the lumbar motor I'll just replace it or take it out.
Any suggestions will help.
thanks!

I had this problem and fixed it, check out my thread on here.
It seems pretty common in these cars.
I had no power to door at certain times because of a main 12+ wire being broken in the door harness. I think it was red.
I had no power to Windows, auto roll up wouldn't work, and I couldn't adjust seats.
Check the rubber boot between the car and the door, mine wasn't easy to find, but easy to fix. Driver side on mine.
Just some solder and heat shrink.
