w215 CL65 window, mirror, button start

Quite a mixed bag suddenly developed after service by local stealers.
Driver's window sometimes doesn't close last 6 mm ; driver's mirror sometimes doesn't open fully ; gear selector start button sometimes doesn't do its stuff (just like a dead short)

Stealer wants it in for d/x on Star but also said I need to replace all the wiring in the driver's door.

This is apparently an unheard of fault ( s) .
Is window final close on vacuum pump ?
Is door mirror fully electric or also on vacuum pump ?
Is it likely a bad connection on start button ?

I would appreciate any knowledge regarding these annoying problems if any of you guys have some to offer.

It is a very common problem with the wiring loom. I have had exactly the same problem.

Because the Drivers door has been opened on a regular basis over the years the wiring stretched. You need to expose the wiring loom and have the wires re-connected any competent auto-electrician could rectify the problem or if you have the expertise go for it.

Thanks, I'll get into the driver's door tomorrow and examine the wiring harness. As a precaution, I left the battery on a trickle charge because I know from past experience that anything less than 12 volts causes all manner of faults to manifest themselves.
I'll post results.

Hey, I'm having the same sort of problem. Did you have a chance to get it fixed? What was the outcome?
