Evanscooling NPG+ - Anyone use it?
I currently run NPG+ in my Cobra and it required a special water pump, but I really enjoyed the results of doing this modification as the difference was really obvious for the engine. Aside from monitoring the coolant temps from rad and to rad, the ambient under-hood temps went down as well.
One silly test I performed was the ability to still be able to palm the valve covers after doing some short, spirited driving whereas this was impossible before.
I've also used it for the Intercooler system on the Cobra both before and after the Killer Chiller mod. To me, it seemed like the optimum solution for someone who didn't want to run water and in my tests the change did have a reasonable impact.
On a funny note, my battery box IC tank in the Cobra also began to condensate like a cold beer with the Killer Chiller and after a bit of idling during fall weather, we were able to see like a light "frosty" haze and could write with our fingers on the side.
My friend took the opportunity to draw the obligatory ***** on it, of course... HAHA
