Painted the Calipers tonight - Jury is not just out, they are likely laughing.
I've only lettered a caliper once (a far less substantial one) and I used the vinyl as a template. First I painted the caliper with the color I wanted the lettering to be (silver). After it dried I applied the vinyl and painted the caliper its main color (Subaru blue). Then the vinyl was peeled off to reveal the lettering, all in high-temp paint.

I know it's not as much brake but it's easier to stop 3600 lbs

You're tracking a CL55, seriously?? I'm surprised based on the weight of these pigs. Do you have a link to videos of it running? I'd love to see. Guys over on the Crossfire forum race the hell out of the SRT6's, but they weigh considerably less.
Anyway, sorry, but I can't help with the paint. There's no way vinyl anything is going to hold up on the calipers considering how the calipers are heating up. I would think the high temp caliper paint would work fine, but stay away from powder coating. I read Brembo hates it, as it holds in the heat. Do a quick google and you'll read the same.
Good luck.

I will also be painting mine in short time, although my car is white and the calipers will be red with white lettering. I've never tried spray paint, I've always done calipers in epoxy caliper paint (two part)
For the record, there are dozens of vinyl stickers available on EBay for cheap:

Hey drjsilver you should check your brake fluid as it probably boiled. I have had the same issue with my calipers turning gold only difference being mine actually caught fire. SPA GP Belgium it only took 4 laps. I have since been back as well as to Silverstone GP with upgraded Brembo BBK and have had no issues. The stock brakes just can't slow down these beasts more than a couple of times without overheating.
