CL65, what is a reasonable time for dealer to get parts?

I am getting miffed by delays for parts. My vehicle is at dealer and they examined it on Tuesday and I assume ordered a new relay and trunk latch that were supposed to be there Thursday. Friday I call and parts still not in and my car is still gone. Earlier, last month it took 4 days to get plugs.

Is this reasonable or is the dealer or regional supplier below par?

I have encountered issues with mercedes parts as well. I ordered parts and was told they would be a week. 2 weeks later I get a call saying they cant get the parts. I also have found a bit of a delay on some other parts I have ordered of around a week (these parts needed to come from Germany)..

If it's a part at one of the 3 warehouses then about a week, but if its Germany it can be from 2 weeks to months depending on the part. Now you may ask why months? I was talking to the parts guy a few months ago about some parts I ordered that needed 2 weeks from Germany to ship, but one owner bought a brand new 2013 S Class W222 when they first came out. A month later a rock went right through his windshield. He had to wait 4 months for a replacement windshield cause MB didn't have any spares as they were fitting all of them on the assembly line. As a result they had to give him a loaner car for that period cause you wouldn't want to **** off an S Class customer who paid for full options just to wait 4 months for a part.

Ok guys, I'm in Alaske so parts should make it ANYWHERE else quicker than here. Yea I have a hook up at the dealership, but still..... Everything I order gets here in 48-72 hours. The only exception is parts not in the USA that have to come from Germany. Those can take 2 weeks or more. If your dealer is treating you right, parts in the us are never more than 2 days away.

if they order the parts before 10a.m. they usually get them the next day if in the fl. warehouse. if they have to get it from n.j. about 1 week, if from germany 2 weeks. i'm in fl.
