I don't see how you got around the safety part. I took a quick look at the rules and they want a suit and roll bar for 150-175mph I think. I really don't want to be a bar in the car and I don't want to be limited to a low speed.

See the "Super Car" requirements; no cage needed but limited to 175. They were very strict on approaching the speed and furious at me for exceeding it by so much. If you are near by it could be a fun event to visit seasonally as long as you remain within their guild lines.
