W216 CL65 Illuminated Grille Emblem
I have seen the illuminated grill emblem kit available for every Benz except the CL65. I assume this is because the CL65 appears to be the only one that is solid. Does anyone know of an illuminated grille emblem for the facelift W216? Seeing the newer cars at night has really grown on me and I would love to add this to mine.
All the rest of the cars seem to have a grille behind the star where as the CL65s are solid.

The solid emblem is for the distronic, it is not a 65 only option. I have it on my facelifted 63. The glowing star is not available if you have a solid star

It's real simple....
If Distrionic is important to you then you can not have illuminated star.
You can gut the system and retrofit the lesser grill on your car to have your star light up but is it worth it to you?
I use Distronic (adaptive CC) every time time I drive and it is extremely important to me here in the Bay Area with heavy traffic. I suppose some of you that live in rural areas could care less about Distronic and would swap it out. You can also put your Distrionic system on eBay as there are many who would kill for a way to do a retrofit.
