How do I remove the armrest console?

How do I remove the armrest console?

guys I have a 2005 cl65 and I need help removing the arm rest because my trans is stuck in Park. I got as far as removing everything except that but can find the screws to remove them. Any help please?

It's a royal ***** to remove completely. The dashes wood grain needs to be removed first. I assume your shifter linkage internally has failed is why your asking?

You got it forced Benz and I need to take out that damn plastic piece so I can take the car out of park

The dash wood grain is removed already which gave me a bloody nose and a cut nostril because of the shifter position and having to force it out. Fml

Move the seats forwards and remove the two torx screws at the L & R bottom rear of the console.

Have you got the gear shift knob off? Just turn through 90 deg and pull off.

I'm afraid it's tricky if you can't move the selector back.

nick I’ll look for the torx screws but I didn’t see that. Are you sure my year cl has it?
