CL65 w216 instrument cluster and steering wheel buttons unresponsive

I accidentally left the front driver side fuse box open. I believe water may have gotten in. The tachometer and speedometer and water temp gauges all unresponsive. Most error lights are on. Seems like the dash is getting no signal. Steering wheel buttons unresponsive. Could it be the drivers side SAM? Please help!!

Start with a scan with an SDS, don't guess at it. Yes, it could be the front SAM, but it could be anything on the network. Throwing parts at it will quickly get more expensive than having it properly diagnosed.

Thank you. I appreciate the response. I have done a scan with the sds. No errors come up and cluster still unresponsive. Changed the CAN already.

The Central Gateway Module. I have not tried that yet. I will try it. Do you know if I would need to have the front driver SAM programmed after replacement?
