2005 MERCEDES BENZ CL55 AMG UPGRADES
My dad loves his CL55, and asked me to locate some performance upgrades for more power. He doesnt want to break the bank. Any used performance parts out there? Or must haves?

Racehorse where would you recommend getting a tune from? How do you install it in your car? I’m used to programmers for diesels or chips. Are they similar to install?

Everyone has their preference with tuners. I have a Eurocharged tune. I had to send in the ECU the first time, afterwards a file can be emailed with instructions on how to load. You do need to purchase a USB to OBD2 cable from them. It's relatively easy. If you continue to add additional mods, you can have a tune designed accordingly. Plan on cooling mods to maintain power if you intend to add an aftermarket pulley to increase boost. Check out the w211 site for more 55 motor mods and opinions.
