What is this in my interior?
This is a picture of the front left corner of the passenger seat. It is broken to some extent. What is it?

I finally found a description in the manual. It is the base for another cup holder. I never would have guessed that.
This is my first German car so there is so much to learn and understand. I have ordered an iCarsoft diagnostic terminal and cd-based service manuals.

VIN WDBSK74F93F05xxxxx. Are you keeping a database?
