Curb collision avoiding vehicle
Hello All,
Should I have my suspension checked after having an encounter with a curb at 45 or so mph? This was an accident (not at fault), and both front and rear tires on the driver's side need replacing, along with the front wheel. If this happened in a truck I would not worry, but this is clearly not a truck, and likely not as robust.
Off the top of my head, I'm worried about:
*Suspension (lower/upper control arms)
*tie rods
*hubs
*ABC accumulators/lines (major pressure spike)

That sucks to hear. At the very least I think you should consider an alignment. Then just wait to see what they find. If you are expecting the need to replace a bunch of parts they will look hard enough to include anything that is close to being worn. Your mileage may give you a good excuse to freshen things up if needed. Check for any fresh ABC leaks. If there isn't built up grime, you may be able to link it to the incident if you are going through insurance for the tires and wheel. Good luck.

Thanks for the input, that was about what I was thinking. I'll be taking it to the dealership Monday, so we'll see what they find! Steering makes a very (very) occasional new noise, so I'm curious what they'll find.
On the upside, I was traveling with the suspension fully raised, so no fascia/body panel contact.

Update: The dealership called for an alignment, wheel, and tire replacement. Still yet to receive the car back, but I'm anxious! Been driving a rental challenger (5.7) in the interim, and it's just not comparable.
