parasitic draw battery drain resolved?
I pulled all the fuses and used a multi-meter to check voltage. Slowly added back fuses. A few things:
1. Lowest I could get was 3.4 amps. I suspect I wasnt waiting long enough for the system to enter "sleep mode"? Trunk light was on. Is this normal for a baseline reading?
2. Found the likely culprit: Fuse 61 under rear seat. Looks like this controls the SOS/CTEL system. Do I need to pull any other fuses? Looks like fuse 18 under the hood (drivers) also might be linked? I got a total reading of 9 amps with this fuse 61 inserted.
3. As a bandaid, fuse 61 remains removed. That being said, looks like I need to fix this by removing the teleaid control unit under the rear seat? Then I need to install a MOST jumper. To remove the dash SRS error, I need to have the computer reprogrammed.
Please confirm this makes sense and that I am not missing anything?
