Hello everyone. I am in an unbelievable predicament. My CL63AMG (C216) has been with Kwik Fit in London for over 4 months. They have tried everything, replaced fuel relay and then fuel pump but apparently there is no power going to the fuel pump at they are at a loss as to what to do next.
Does anyone miraculous have any idea at all as to how this can be fixed? One of the technicians demonstrated something to me the other day which was when the fuel pump was in place, he was able to connect to leads to a battery back and get the fuel pump working. The car then started too.
The original problem was that I was driving at 70mph and all of a sudden, the car just started to slow down gradually no matter how hard I pressed the accelerator. It eventually came to a standstill.
The fuel pump controller is located on the bulkhead underneath the left rear seat in the coupe:
The CL 63 (C216) fuel pump setup is the same as in the video. Non-return and the fuel pressure is modulated by varying the speed of the pump via the controller. Fuel demand is sensed by the fuel pressure sensor located on the fuel rail located over the intake manifold.
In the absence of a signal from the fuel pressure sensor, the engine electronics will command the pump to run at full speed. Over a long period this might burn out the pump or blow the pump fuse. Also, you should be getting diagnostic information on the failure from your scanning tool. I'd check the pressure sensor, the fuse (obviously) and the controller.

Hi Mark, Thank you so much for making the effort to send me this! Is that you in the video? I have forwarded it to the mechanic for further investigation!
