Sport Auto got 0.2 tenth worse 1/4 time and 1 sec slower 0-125 mph time than what he made. That could also be related to the normal variance in performance and traction on the track.
But the cars are totaly different, and the huge torque and power of the Bi Turbo V12 is hard to beat. The M5 is over 100 Hp down on power and have just a bit more than half the torque of the AMG...... That is a big differnce.....

From results gotten in Europe the M5 is not far of the CL65.
From all the tests made of the pre-series M5 they are mostly in the mid 13 sec territory from 0-125 mph ( 13.5-13,7 and 13,7 on 3 different tests).
Only 1 have been +14 sec.
So the new M5 is really fast also.

I just dont get why sometimes people compare the BAD time of one car to the GOOD time of another car. You know what I mean?
The only fair comparison anyone can make is if both cars are tested head-to-head. That way, elevation, temperature, humidity, road condition, etc etc can be taken out of the context and no excuses will be made.
Anyways, all of these cars are quick and very nice!

Thats exactly what im saying man. I swear some of the comparisons ive seen on car sites over the years. Ive seen Civic compared to Ferraris, of course im sure you can guess the argument on that one. "Well sure but you paid XXX dollars and with the money i saved on my (insert cheaper car) i could run circles around you"
Also about These Kleeman, and Brabus cars, where can i find a dealer with some in? I know Long Beach supposedly had a few, but the dealers around me dont.

the cobra runs 11.3 no n20 and 10.8 on spray. The benz supposedly runs 12.5 right? So why is this so hard to believe. The Benz is not a race car, the cobra is.

Man, I had no idea the Cobra's were that fast. I had a real hooked up, supercharged Mustang built by paxton that did a 12.7 quarter mile, and it felt so to me compared to my Z06 at the time. Well, since I am a speed freak, I think I may consider getting a cobra.
So to all you Cobra guys, should I wait for the New style version of the SVT if they make one, or should I just get one of the leftover units at the local dealer?
Where do you guys go in Southern Cali for performance work. I would want that KB on there right away.

the new cobra will not be out till 07 and we have no idea what it is going to be. Your best bet is to pick up an 03-04 with good miles and mod away. with a kb on there you will be in the 10's EASY, 9s with traction if you go the crazy route like I did. SoCalDiablo is in socal, pm dgussin1, he lives in LA and will know more about the area then me! Good luck, you wont regret it!

Like 00svtdubs said the next gen cobra wont be out till late 06 early 07, so I would definately get this gen cobra for now.
I personally do all of my own work on my cobra for a couple reasons:
1) I don't really like any of our local performance shops
2) Why pay somebody $90/hr to do basic wrenching. Swapping the blower on the car is 10 top mount bolts and a few other random bolts and other things things. I can do a complete blower swap in about 4-5 hours start to finish. All the exhaust and intake stuff is simple too.
The only thing I prefer not to do is suspension stuff. I don't have all of the equipment to align it and all the other necessary things.
If you would like some advise as to where you could take your car, shoot me a PM. As 00svtdubs said their is socaldiablo. Stay away from there. lol

Thanx give me 200 shot in the CL65! I dont think i'll see the mustang and if i got my self wrong basically your sayin this cobra can beat an enzo. Ok in my point **** quarter miles. Thats all jap and american garbage. When it comes to the HIGHWAY, GERMAN CARS RULE. I think u heard of the AUTOBAUHN. Like wise no american or jap cars come close to any german car. Now I got to the point were I just dont give one **** about american or jap cars I think about

Ill give you some info on the new cobra.
These are not set in stone, but this is what SVT and Ford are looking at. in 2008/09 the Ford GT will no longer meet US regulatory standards and will be discontinued and in its place the Shelby Cobra concept. Since Shelby is synomious with the Cobra name, the Cobra name will be dropped from the mustang line up. The next SVT Mustang will come in two versions. a Z06 like race track styled GT-500, and a Regular more streety version called the GT350. With the 500 getting a supercharged 5.4 Liter V8 from the GT, and the 350 getting the new 5.0 Cammer, either N/A or Supercharged. The 350 will make some where around 450 horses, and the 500 version making around 500 HP. Infact ive been thinking about it, if you want to see the power of the next Cobra, look no further than the E55. a 5.4 Liter Supercharged car. Also if i remember correctly the E55 is underated and is closer to 500 horses. Now what i just stated is not for sure, but expect numbers around there.
6 Speed IRS will be the featured, also a 6 speed Solid axle might go into the 350, with the IRS going into the 500.

even though I'm a complete AMG-Nut.. I love those Mustangs.. would have gotten one myself (if I had the chance..!) before I got the C32.

I love that car so much. V12 Powaaaa!!!! I cant wait for the new M6, carbon fiber roof. 5.0 Liter 550 horses, or is it 5.5 550? I forget right now but i know 550 Horses. 9000 RPM rev limiter, probably gonna sound like an Carrera GT, or a McLaren F1 at full revvs. Also there will be a CSL version of the M6.

It has been made one prototype that would have been called M8, but was never put into production.
M4 does also not exist, and will most probably not be made.
They will maybe put an M engine into the Z4 but that is not decided yet.

Ive heard from good sourses 550, with the 5.0 Liter V10, or a 5.5 Liter. Also there will be a CSL version. I seriously hope a M7 is made, so that we S 600/55 will have some competition. Competition is good for everyone, especially us consumers
Also how many CL65s have been sold around So.Cal, ive seen maybe 4-5 no joke. Ive seen 2 at the Keyes dealer waiting to be sold, then a Black one drivin by and old eastern european background looking man driviing it. Then i saw a Kid Driving one down Rodeo, and i think i saw one on the highway silver.
Also ive seen a few SL65s.
