CL65 vs 03 Cobra 2 VIDEOS!!!!

check them out guys, they are awesome! Props to the Cobra from a roll but the AMG is tough to beat from a stop with the TC you guys have!!!!

Nice vids.

Can you add all that extra boost and nitrous to the stock cobra engines? I mean without getting stronger pistons etc? Seems like they can handle a lot of power.

our stock engine's have all forged internals. They are built extremely sturdy. Our block, crank and rods can take one hellova beating (over 750rwhp). The only weak spot is our forged teflon coated pistons which really dont like to be over 600rwhp, but can last there. Erics car is over 800rwhp on mostly stock internals, cept for pistons. My car is over 580rwhp with a completely stock engine. :v

for 500rwhp SAE and 10.99 with good driver and ET Streets in an 03-04 cobra all you need is the following mods...

filter $80
stock blower ported by Apten Performance $395
2.8 pulley-14psi $70
o/r X pipe $125
catback under $400
chip $300
then you can add nitrous like I did on my car for under $1000. My total kit installed was under $600.

so for $1970 TOTAL figure $2100 installed, you can run 10's all day long.

With those mods and a small 30 dry shot into the air filter my car put down 530rwhp and 553tq SAE

The 03-04 Cobra is just like a supra, EASY to mod and go fast! You cant beat the class of the AMG cars though, this is why Im saving all my pennies for an AMG daily driver as my 800+rwhp cobra is my daily driver for now

Thanks. Yeah that's really inexpensive considering the amount of performance you get. Having an 11 second car for fun would be nice. =)

you can find a "new" 03 cobra for like $28,000. $3000 in mods and you run 10's. $31000 for a new cobra in the 10's is more than just a fun car!!!! Its awesome! I wish my Cobra was my fun car but its just my daily driver convertible. I really want an AMG as a daily driver, now I see THAT as being "fun"

Yeah the 03-04 cobras are awesome. I was in the market for a cobra back in 99, but didn't get it. Wish they were that fast back then. E55 are amazing. That's what I was waiting for when I got my X5, but it was taking too long and I got impatient.

I see. I had a 99 Cobra before my 03.... there is no comparison. I know you said you wanted an E55 but you do have a S600! Thats a fine DD if you ask me!!!!

Our 600 is an 01, so it doesn't have the twin turbo monster that is in the 03-05 ones. But, it's still a very nice ride. And the E55 would've been mine, the S is my mother's car.

Nice Cobra, those things are perfect mod cars! I have a Viper GTS that I've done a little to, but my driving is far from perfect. I run 118 in the 1/4 mile with exhaust & high-flow cats. My best run is 12.3 though.

I just purchased an 03 E55 and it's one helluva fun car to drive daily!

From my view the CL65 got **** on buy a Mustang.

The guy got a slight jump from stop and from a roll he got obliterated.

I love benz and hate ford but that was just an *** whoping. Was the CL brand new. ? Was The guy shifting with buttons. ? Slow Reaction time. ?

Will Tell You Honestly Thats Bull**** CL65 is by far faster then that stang as you seen the E55 ****ting on modded stangs u figure the CL65 will just **** on it 0-150 13.7 so im sorry to say but wat do stang do to that speed 27.8
that video was garbage its just as upsetting as the SL55 Vs Z06 vid please no need for amg owners like this

As far as I have been able to read from European test they hit 125 mph in 13,8 sec.

What does the Cl65 get in the 1/4 0-60 and 0-100..... If its only good at very high speeds it will still get **** on by most cars from a roll and from a dead stop.

I just cant find a good reason to believe why the CL65 couldnt have spanked that cobra.

Alright first of all 1/4 miles time for a CL65 AMG is 11.8 127mph its in the new Motor Trend and Car and Driver 13.8 0-125 i dont know where u got that from u prob where thinking 01 CL55 Anyways in a Straight LIne the CL65 is toe to toe with a SLR The Slr might get it from the start but the CL65 will catch wit limiter off so if u think this video proofs anything ill go make a video of me drivin a civic and beating a sl600. PLease like i said

Yah thats what I was thinking the car showed no effort at all and its stats far out accelerate the cobra modded or stock in almost every way. It looked brand new as well guy probley baby'd itl.... I just didnt get why it looked like it was standing still.

Id like to see a real rematch with real driving..
