The only cars confirmed so far to get the the 5.5L Kompressor are the SL55 and W211 E55. Keep in mind there are a lot of new features besides just a motor that they are introducing with these cars. Based on that, they may not want to just slap in a new motor before a new design change for that chassis, although I can't imagine they would let the flagship CL go without the latest and greatest. There were even talks that the next version of the CL55 would be a CL60 Kompressor. I'm fairly certain that the 2003 CL55 will remain unchanged, perhaps in 2004? Keep in mind that not all 55 engines will be SC'd. The new CLK55 will remain normally aspirated but get a power boost to 376hp. It's very possible that the CL55 will just get this power boost as well...for the time being.

Both the S55 AMG and CL55 are both receiving the Kompressor and expect a lot more. The design will slightly change but really minor.

I also have a 2003 cl 55 on order. My dealer has told me the following as of yesterday. There will be a change in the lights, some other miniumul changes, however, he indicated that the car WILL HAVE THE SUPERCHARGED ENGINGE which the sl55 has. He indicated to me that the car and news will break sometime in September and my delivery (original order 4/01) will occur in either late November 02 or early December 02.
My question is should i buy the car or should i lease the car and take the business expense through leasing that i am entitled to.

Maxosa,

My opinion would be to lease the CL. This way your entitled to your benefits as well as lower monthly payments and you will still have the option to purchase the vehicle at any given point in time. I am going to lease my as well. I figure that leasing would be better for me personally because it allows lower payments per month, it allows me the option to turn the vehicle back in at the end of the lease and pulling out another vehicle without me having to negotiate current value of the car at that time.

hope this helps let me know what u think.....

PS what dealership you have your CL ordered at? I ordered mine in 01/06/01 and my dealer also states nov/dec for delivery i just hope this is correct and keep waitin for a PO number.
