I am not sure if there is a thread relating to this already or not but:
I just bought an '02 CL600. The car did not come with a phone. What can I do? Can I just put in a Motorola V60 or equivalent and make it work? Is there something else?
The salesman at the dealer told me I have to buy it from Mercedes because it has some special programming and he said it was at least $600.
Is this true?

Your CL600 comes standard with the phone so all the needed electroncs are there.
A Mercedes branded V60 is around $500 from the dealer however much better deals on these Mercedes branded V60 phones can be found on Ebay now and then.
You can also check out the MIK Box ( http://www.mikbox.com ) if you want to be able to use non Mercedes branded phones.
