New Wheels

Just put on my new CL65 imitation wheels. Only paid $3800 canadian with Goodyear Eagle F1's. Lowered it myself and put on the Lorinser tail. What I really like about them over the real AMG's is they have a bit more off set and lip to give the car a wider stance. Oh ya also pulled out the resinator's, much better exhaust tone.

4 wheeled car.
It's nice but I think it's a bit of a waste to put replica wheels on a real AMG... should've gone for the good stuff..

I can't justify spending 5k US on just the rims for the real one's.

I agree with you, but you should've looked harder, I'm sure you can get them for much much cheaper.

I like the look of the replicas. The AMG CL65 wheels are gunmetal grey, which IMO does not look as good. What is the difference between the replicas and the AMG's in terms of construction? TheAMG's tend to be heavy and are not forged, if they are anything like the stock wheels on my 2003 CL55. Finally, what is the source of the replicas?

They are nice and light but only really 2 peice instead of 3. The bolts around are just in there for show. I personally think they look great and have received tons of complaments.

The wheels look great, I like the silver finish.

Just wondering, how does the acceleration of the TT compare to your SL55?

The Turbo had the Upsolute chip, B&B exhaust, headers & BMC airfilter. The CL has lots of power and feels great for pretty much stock but with just those mods that were on the Turbo it was not much comparison. A friend has a S55 so one night we were out bombing around and the turbo can quite easily pull away. We are both very experenced drivers. Threw the top gears the turbo really pulls hard.

Unfortunatly time came to have to sell 1. The CL was just more practical and comfortable so buy buy turbo. Hopefully if buisness picks up would definatly consider getting another 1.

There 8.5 front and 9.5 rear. I think the offset is 44 & stock is 38. Not 100% sure though but know that they do stick out a bit more then original 65 wheels & have more lip in the back.

mike,
I don't think CL wheels fit the W210 E-class, different bolt size.
