A45 at the track!
A45 at the track!
Since CLA 45 has same engine I thought its great to post here.
Its not a race but on Facebook it said that SL63 ran at the same track and it did 1:28.00 min but A45 did 1:25.67 min!!!! So A45 is faster on the track!!
I wounder what else would it able to beat on the track? C63? E63?
It seems like A45 is very fast car!!

From nearly all reviews, if it's a twisty road or track both a C63 and current E63 won't see where the A45 has gone, it has far better handling than its 2 bigger brothers so yes under those track conditions it would beat them.
Chris Harris made a specific mention of the C63 on that note on one of his reviews of the A45.
Not sure how the very similar CLA45 stacks up, but most people consider the A45 variant to be the better performer.
BTW that link above dosn't seem to work, there are lots of them now on the A45 so not to worry

There are only 2 MB/AMG cars listed in the race tracks record holders list from what I can see and one of those just happens to be the A45, must have been very recent it's the record holder of the Llandow track in the U.K.
The other is the AMG SLS record holder at Kyalami.
What an awesome effort for the new A45 to already hold a track record

When you use the compare who's faster feature on this site, it dosn't list the A45 for selection so you can't compare it further to others if they've run the same track, maybe it's still early days
Edit for above, just realised when you use the search (if you want to do comparisons) for the manufacturer you need to select Mercedes only, not Mercedess Benz and then the MB models come up.
Problem is data listed on most I looked at is manufacturers quoted literature not actual test results so conclusions or verdicts are not accurate.

I was Lucky enough to drive the a45 on a racetrack today...extremely sick car really! I am rarely impressed but the a45 is insane on a go-kart racetrack type and It's just perfect
so precise, idiot proof, very quick and so fun to slide

I Will have to buy one Now no choice!

The spinoff of all of this though is that the competion will also have to raise the bar, so I'm very curious and interested to see what the new model Audi RS3 will be like, because the current one is obviously outclassed by the new AMG A45 and upcoming BMW's will also have to lift their game

You would never have picked it years ago, but the way high performance hatches are going they're going to end up going all the way and hyper hatches will emerge, if AMG do a black series A45 it'll be the first of that category.
