Rebellion S1v2 = Mind Blown

Going to give a quick review on the rebellion Stage 1 Version 2 since not to many people on this forum seem to be tinkering with aftermarket. Will focus strictly on power

The CLA 45 in stock form is a great car especially considering its a 2.0 4 cylinder ! After breaking in the car and starting to really beat on it i felt the mid range was a bit underwhelming especially a turbo car with a claimed 26psi. AMG clearly had torque limiters built in while also not letting boost spike for a big mid range and kept it feeling almost N/A like in power delivery once in boost with a strong rush over 5K rpm. I was very happy with the stock top end pull after 5K when the stupid TCU lets you get that high up anyway without short shifting(thats another discussion)

Made the decision to go with rebellion they seemed to have a fair price, big customer base, great customer service and most importantly a great product with proven results. Once picked up from the shop I drove home it was raining and I guess I forgot about ECU needing adaption time + 3 people in the car. The car felt really strong great mid range punch and top end i was very happy !

2 days went by terrible weather so i took it easy when it finally cleared up it was a 60 degree low humidity night and I was in the car with only one other person. HOLY &^%# !!! I was so suprised by the pull I couldnt believe it literally felt like a mini supra with massive boost rush to redline. Completely different car its almost unexplainable without seeming like a 12 year old fan boy on a red bull high

Mid range torque is amazing the way it should have been from factory and above 5K it took the already crazy stock pull and turned it up big time really cant wait to open this motor up with down pipes/intake/race fuel if it feels this good tune only. Ive been in tuned n54's/n55's and the surge/top end of this is on another level. Also noticed the car is cracking/popping alot more now on overrun and upshifts. Best money youll spend on this car I could never drive it stock again. Great job rebellion

Also with the crazy top end pull the obvious short shifting is superrr frustrating in 1st and 2nd since you know its leaving so much on the table by not pulling all the way to redline which then in turns starts you lower in the next gear. Really stupid by merc but supposedly rebellion is about to release a tcu tune that will fix this and torque limiters. Will use OBDII tool very cool !

Very nice to hear more product reviews. I'm definitely interested on more feedback once you've installed supporting mods whenever they become available.

Thanks for the review. I'm also sold on the Rebellion and Matt is great at responding promptly.

Excellent review and 100% agree! The tune totally transforms the CLA45. AMG needed to make it more potent from the factory.

355hp out of a 2.0l isn't potent enough for a factory stock car?! You realize it's the most powerful per specific output engine in the world right now right ? lol

Not with the likes of the M2, RS3 and apparently the VW R400 on the horizon. The CLA45 is gonna be left in the dust at 355 HP. They will bump up HP...just a matter of when.

Thanks for sharing your experience. If only the price was a little cheaper, I'd buy one today.

I just ordered mine and 3 more units for a group of friends. Do you realise that this is one of the cheapest in the market already?

Yep, I do realize that and I really want to buy it but can't bring myself to shell out that kind of $, at least not right now.
