I called them and they want 500.00USD for a filter and a bigger spacer than stock which is kind of high for the parts being offered...

The beauty of modern tech, it just takes a bank transfer & DHL or Express mail & you have it on your car in less than a week.

It is all in the pipeline with future development collaboration between Willall Racing & Harrop Engineering in Australia. As quoted on Willall Racing Facebook "Willall Racing A45/CLA45/GLA45 Phase 2 system planning underway with our development partners Harrop Engineering. Some fantastic new upgrades for M133 AMG owners currently in the works!"

That's actually a pretty good deal for a CNC anodized piece with filter. I would prefer if the filter were an AFE prodry cone filter so you do not have to worry about filter oils damaging the MAF sensor.

The HP/TQ gains are roughly 8hp/TQ respectively but what's impressive is the gains before the peaks and the total "meat under the curve". Turbos spool up at a lower Rpm and torque is sustained at a higher Rpm. Did not realize the stock intake was that restrictive.

Looks like a great little stealth mod to me!

Looking at the chart, the low end torque increase is about 50 NM with the filter kit alone, is this right? If so you can definitely feel it.

I was referring to PEAK gains, correct, midrange gains are way more at certain rpms, especially on low end where the turbo is allowed to spool up so much faster. It essentially flattens out the torque curve. More torque sooner, more torque later, but overall peak gains not massively improved. Meat under the curve is far more important though that peak gains because it totally changes the way the car feels.

Did you mean turbo spools up sooner at a lower RPM, or just faster once kicks in?

If such a simple modified air filter/intake can improve the power curve and driving pleasure, why didn't AMG do it?

They must know there would be a lot of complaints about "turbo lag".
