Clunks and Other Stuff

My 2015 CLA45 AMG has about 5000 km on it and recently has me wondering.
When I back out of my garage the rear has to go to driver's right so the front wheels end up hard right.
When I pull forward turning the wheels to the left I hear two distinct clunks from the front which has me wondering if there is a CV problem.
Also the other day I accelerated from 85 kph and there was distinct wheel hop on the right front.
Any ideas?

Our car does the same thing. I also have a vibration in the front end under light acceleration at about 55mph.

I asked my tech and service manager about this in an email. They hauled one off the lot and tried it and it too does the same thing. We sort of agreed it is tire slippage at sharp wheel angles.
Not impressed.

well considering the performance of this car I would expect it to have a pretty beefy front diff. heck even the Cadillac cts4 cars scuff tires and sharp angles. that's just the nature of the beast. however I would not expect it to be clunking loudly though, something seems odd there.

It is not acceptable.
I have been an E class driver since 1987 so I have lived through the 4Matic evolution before buying a 2009 and 2011 E 4Matic.
Never, at the most severe angles of steering did this happen.

Here is some new grist for the mill.
MBC is saying it is cold tire related under 7C temperatures but it happens at temps well above that.
What I found this week is that if I go full lock left at low speed it feels like the CV joints are binding as the car goes around a circle.
On the other hand it doesn't do it with the wheels full right lock.
Interesting eh?

You can feel it and it also happens going over curbs.

There was a lot I didn't like about this car, but as it has been driven more it has gotten better. It is my wife's daily driver, so I don't drive it a whole pile, but we recently took it from Toronto/Florida return and it seemed to loosen up (in a good way). I was out with it this morning and my wife was with me in the car, I suggested the car felt better and she agreed, she has found the same thing. This is a 2014 and it has just passed over 30,000 kms.

As much as it pains me, it seems now it has warmed up it no longer does this so it must have been cold tires but they said 7C and I was getting it at 10-12 C Still not impressed.
