Who here tuned before warranty was up?
Just curious to see who has done a tune and other mods before warranty was up and if any issues? I have 1500km on mine and considering mods but im so new to these types of cars so dont know the reliability with the mods. I had a 2010 cadillac cts v that i modded the crap out of from new but i know more about supercharged V8's over these little turbos. Any input appreciated. Thanks

Tuning
I have had the Rebellion S1V2 piggyback tune, Alpha intake,10mmwheel spacers front/back, pedal commander ,and front strut brace installed for 13000 KMS with no issues at all.
The Rebellion tune has been fantastic, the car feels quite sedated without the tune.

originally bought just the filter/adaptor bits, but then purchased the carbon bits used, from someone on Mercedescla.org forum.
Yes the Carbon bits are just for show, the snorkel bit, fits just as poorly as the OEM. You will notice when you start stressing the engine, the duct will fall out of alignment quite often.

No plans for a downpipes, most are around a $1000+, for very little gain, and a real pain in the *** to remove for dealer visits.
Pedal commander(rebellion also sell there own unit) has literally been in since the day we bought it.
Both my wife and I found the throttle tip in was terrible in the CLA, so we installed it the day we brought it home, it just stays in for dealer visits, you can just turn it off and stow it under the steering wheel.

Downpipes make a big difference with a tune. +40 whp if not more. it allows the car to breathe better. I went with downpipe, intake , blow off valve, and tune at around 3,000 miles. im at 10,000 miles now. no issues. had my personal mechanic look closer into the engine and all the parts during the 10k maintenance . no issues, no signs of wear and tear. Alpha Performance knows their stuff....... A+
