Carlsson CLA45
Carlsson is going to launch a tune with 450hp CLA 45!! That is 90hp more from stock.
I wounder what it will be! Its fast as it is now but with 450hp!! Like Carlsson said it will be super car!

Carlsson’s flagship CLS conversion is for the CLA45 AMG, which comes with 360hp and 4WD as standard. Carlsson boost the output of their CCA45 RSR to 450hp, which turns the compact four-door Coupe into a supercar killer.
Carlsson offers a three-year warranty on all their conversions and parts. With fitting done by an accredited specialist workshop, the factory warranty is unaffected, and Carlsson guarantees all its own parts in full.

That's awesome and confirms the tuneability of the new 4 pot AMG engine which some of us never doubted in the first place
The transmission should also easily be up to the task as it's based on transmissions used in much more powerful V8 AMG's.
An A45 with 330kw and 560nm (which is what I believe the torque output will be) along with its AWD will easily become a supercar killer especially on a track, it'll also pretty much kill all its big brother AMG's as well

Is this purely a tuning kit? Does it require an exhaust, anything else? I'm looking at another V8 (CLK, C AMG) but I am fascinated with them and will speaking to my local dealer about a C63 but might steer the discussion this way. 450HP in this very small car is just ridiculous (in a completely positive way).

It must be heavely modified for sure. Probably ecu to 400hp and then a bigger turbo for the extra 50hp.
Both the stock turbo plus transmission can't handle more than 390hp so great job

I suppose where all wanting more technical facts on the new AMG drivetrain.
Here's some of what we do know, the turbocharger fitted to the 2.0ltr AMG is the same as used on the BMW N55 3.0ltr IL6 engines and there's lots of literature which has those engines modified with the turbo as is or left alone and producing well over 300kw or 400bhp.
Where is there literature that states the transmission can't handle more than 390bhp I find that hard to believe as the transmission is based on and similar to the units used in other V8 powered AMG's with alot more power and torque than the 2.0ltr engine produces.
With limitations of the transmission, I'd be more concerned about the torque handling number/limits more so than the power anyway.

The trans may be okay... I think cooling will be the issue...I know from past experiance that DCT trans can overheat on track... (had a gtr, S4 and friend with evo MR). Hope someone makes a track capable DCT trans cooler to handle extra power and track useage...

Need to ask do you have any technical information on the above or is it just personal speculation.
