I don't doubt this at all, looking at history, MB. Seems to do this progressively with all of their cars. The C63 was a good example of this.

I would guess there will be a S model at some point of a Black Series, but with production maxed out right now they have no reason to do it. In a couple of model years I'm sure they will do something. Especially after the Audi RS3 and BMW M2 arrive.

Sometimes it pays NOT to be an early adopter and this may be one of those times!
I saw this and believe it: While speaking with Australian publication Drive, AMG boss Tobias Moers said that even more power could be extracted from the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine of the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG and A 45 AMG. As a reminder, that engine is the second most power-dense internal combustion engine currently on the market delivering 360 hp from its 2000cc. While Moers insisted that a Black Series variant of the CLA 45 AMG isn’t currently in the works, he hinted that a more track focused variant of the CLA 45 AMG based on the CLA 45 AMG Racing Series is possible.

Well, that maybe 2 or more years away. As Moers explained, competition is what's going to drive the need for more hp. I can see this beast be the new standard in the 4 cylinders hp war with Audi and Bmw. This was a great move by MB, it sure is a game changer, we don't get that often, but, when we do its a good one, and sounds like MB is ready for it.
