My thoughts on this...

If you need/want a ton of power where you'll be able to open the car up on open roads a lot the C63 makes sense.

I like the CLA45 because I'm in traffic a ton (I live in downtown Seattle) and I didn't to just burn gas for no reason. In addition, it's the most beautiful car (without spending 100k) on the road. Plenty of power, looks like a race car inside and out, fully loaded at 62k, and a head turner.

I agree! +1. The car looks absolutely stunning in person, photos do NO justice. Absolutely, everywhere you go, it turns heads.

Exactly guys. i live in downtown helsinki, it's not rush hour like in seattle, but i'm growing tired of paying 7k eur for gas each year. Seems more and more like i want the CLA, but when i see my car it's so damn beautiful. Such a hard decision.....
The problem is that in Finland, if i bring a car from abroad it is taxation wise considered a new car if it is a) registered less than 6 months ago or b) driven less than 6k km. The oldest CLA in germany is 1 month. I would want it for the winter because of the awd. I could of course import an A-class but unfortunately i am not such a big fan

CLA45 AMG isn't a comparable car to the C63 for the cost

It does depend on what your priority is. In Canada a CLA45 is around $60,000 and you can pick up a C63 for about $70,000. For the $10,000 difference, the C63 provides much more car for the money. Recently test drove a CLA and you can tell it is a 4 cylinder. Agree at WOT it moves, but otherwise felt very lightweight. It is great on gas though and has 4 wheel drive, so if those are important to you then CLA would be a good choice. If those two things didn't matter C63 all the way imo.

Both gas and 4wd are weighing arguments. I'm tired of spending 7k € a year on gas. I want 4wd but on the other hand i love drifting It's just the getting stuck and shoveling my way out that sucks

2013 C63 Coupe
I can empathize with the cost overseas and cost per year for fuel. When I lived in Holland, petro was quite high so I drove a Prius. I moved back to the states and said to hell with it and bought a Range Rover; burn as much as gas possible....wanted more speed so got a 2013 C63. As long as gas is cheap I don't care about gas mileage. But when your talking 6-7 USD per gal... I can understand

C63 507
u gotta b smoking when u compare the naturally aspirated 6.2 with the 4L turbo crap like M3.... with merely 12K price diff how the heck it makes sense to opt for CLA when you can drive the car ( c63 )with the greatest V8 engine ever built in history ! you cant go wrong with c63's and specially the 2014 507 edition... forget 2015 already ( downsized to 4L again ) !

n u don't buy AMGs for wireless Music streaming ( even though u can do tht and more u can possibly imagine on 507 ).

keep ur wagon..it will b a part of history soon.

I'm glad you've decided to keep your wagon. If only we had the C63 Wagons in the US. Stupid MBNA/MBUSA

2013 C63 Coupe
I don't think its a fair comparison between the C63 or CLA45. 2.0 Turbo vs 6.2 V8. I have a 2013 C63 Coupe, was the only choice for me...2014's last of the V8's. The MCT coupled to that V8 is no slouch!

Plus the fact that I traded my 2012 E350 coupe for the C63, with dealer discount and negotiations to maximize equity... I got the 2013 C63 for 48k + change. 5 miles on the ODO at time of delivery. So that was a deal I could not pass up... that was 6 months ago.

My wife likes the CLA45 and will consider a trade for her car if a deal can be made. The problem is demand.. too high right now.

Well, having both the cla is a better all weather car, its actually VERY fun to drive in the rain with the traction control off, even in traffic where you can really bob and weave to get where you need to go like if you have to dip in before the next exit. The C is more serious to drive in inclement weather and demands attention, the cla you can get away with pretty crazy s**t and be just fine where the C would have spun out or you would have to slow down....someone will start getting BIG power out of the 2.0 then it will be lights out for a lot of way more serious cars.....when I look at it I see this eventually

When people get waxed by STI's or EVO's with big power in their supercars there is always an argument that yea but the interior is terrible or the styling is rice....they aren't going to be able to say that with the cla
