CLA45 AMG: 0-60 - 4.2 1/4mi - 12.7@108.3 Motortrend
Motortrend Tested.
This is officially on my short list of next car. Curb weight is higher than excepected at 3599lbs.
Overall of the video, is they said it meets the AMG criteria, and is a good driver to boot.
0-60 4.2
1/4mi 12.7@108.3

Sounds like the weakness is in the mid-high range. a 4.2 0-60 should garner a better quarter mile time.

Wanna beat a Cla45, just run em from a roll. The advantage of launch control and AWD are gone.

Trap speed v. 0-60 tells me it's like an electric car, great out of hole, but runs out of breath very quickly. With that 0-60, it ought to be closer to a 12.5 at 112-115. It's simply running out of mid range and top end.

The traps are healthy, at 108-110. Right there with your old modded C32.

Things happening in Australia presently;-
As quoted "A45 with 305kw/550nm from a tune
Hey guys check out what I found on Facebook. You guys reckon it's safe to tune our cla45?"
https://m.facebook.com/pages/Willall...2F251746834570
Willall Racing A45 Phase I package scheduled for public release January 2014.
The most sophisticated and powerful tuning system available for the A45 featuring -
- More power and torque than the competition
- Direct boost control for linear response
- Programmed ignition timing maps
- Improved launch control
- Altered Drive By Wire mapping for improved traffic behaviour
- Calibrated in Australia by Australians for Australian fuel
- Full system safety margins still in place
We have seen 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds and 0-400m in 11.8 seconds from Vbox. These will be backed up before any official claims are made by one of our test cars at WSID (NSW)
Pricing to be released Jan 2014
Dealer enquiries welcome.

Those numbers posted above by msk74717 are of an Australian spec A45 and all Australian spec A45's (and also the CLA45's) come standard with 19's and all the extra features.
Even stock standard or unmodified a lot of Australian magazines have tested the A45 (in the trim outlined above) at mid to low 4's for the 0-100km/h and mid 12's for the 1/4 mile sprints

Exactly.
As fast/faster than modded C32/CLK55 stock. Pretty darn impressive if you ask me.
Especially if you adjust the base price of a 2002 C32 in today's dollars, which would be $67,000!
Faster, AWD, turbo, DCT and over 30 mpg highway for 20k less? Sign me up!

Good luck with that! 2014 production is pretty much gone........

Sorry, but I will not be an early adopter of the CLA , just like I wasn't for the 32 or the 55. It's my own mental issue. Given the fact that the 15s will be out probably July, I can certainly wait. Teething pains have always been an issue.

Test drove one last week. Definitely quick off the mark, I do feel some slight turbo lag but not that different from my M278 equipped 550 4matic. Crackle and pop from the exhaust is really apparent. Interesting sounds for a first drive but will I get tired of it ? Dunno about that. Probably more tossable in corners than my 550 and the turbo-4 has a racy note to it rather than the rumble I get from my 2 V8 engined cars. Those 0-60 numbers are believable - it gets there frenetically fast and the DCT does feel better than my slush box. The one thing I'd say though as I left the dealer lot is that despite the awesome performance, it still has a 4 cylinder feel to it. No bad thing, just different if you're used to V8s.
