Early Birthday present

HI! so i had been toying with the idea of a sports car for a birthday present to myself, but also wanted something a little practical. That's where I discovered the CLA45. I almost ordered one a couple weeks ago but didn't have time to go to the dealer. Finally made it in yesterday, and low and behold they had one sitting in the showroom. Apparently someone ordered it but decided against it.

I got lucky... however, taking the family to Disney Saturday so I opted to pick it up when I return. It's killing me not being able to drive it today... smh.

Here's what the original owner ordered...which was pretty much spot on what I was going to order, minus the Performance Seats.

Night Black (i kept going back and forth on black or white...)
Black Red Cut leather
Premium package
AMG Drivers package
AMG exhaust
DVD coding (wtf is that?)
Speed Load index
Rear Deck Spoiler
AMG Steering wheel
Multimedia package
Panorama sunroof

I test drove it... on a small stretch headed back to the dealer parking lot I pegged the pedal and knew I wasn't leaving without it...well at least leaving without purchasing.

My first MB. Previous BMW and Acura owner and hadn't had a sports car since the 90's. I'm ready to get back from Disney and give it a full day test drive.

BTW - From the New Orleans area in case anyone else is also. Looking forward to exploring the site.

Laissez les bons temps rouler

That will be the longest feeling vacation ever. I guess that is not a bad thing. Usually they go to fast. Did you take any pics of the car? Can't wait for my local dealer to get one in.

nice man, congrats!

I heard from one dealer in LA, that they sold one on their lot for a $10k markup.

Congratulations and happy birthday! Jealous two-fold, you're in Disney now and you get an awesome treat when you return. Enjoy your vacation!!! The car will be patiently awaiting your return. I have to wait another 2-3 months for my car to arrive, and 3 more on top of that to go to the World

And I think DVD coding is just some bs for your region (US) to read them on the player. Nothing fun or fancy, IDK why they bother listing that.

Congrats on your car! I'm in a similar situation.. In Aruba with my family and girlfriend as I type this. I get back Friday and hope to get my car Monday (it's at the port) before I have to go to Ohio for Christmas on Tuesday to visit my girlfriends family. Can't wait for no more travels and to have my car.

DVD coding means you can watch a DVD on the NAV while the car is in park. Pretty cool actually and hopefully we can find a way to disable the park only function.

There is a way to disable the park/DVD function. It's called a locpick I believe. Research it - $300 option. It's all over eBay. For my m3 it was very simple and it was a coding fix I'm unsure why with Mercedes it's all hardware vs software.
