The Recaro option for the CLA45 is truly an amazing seat, leaps ahead of the C63 seat. I am sure MB AMG will be re-designing the new 2015 C63 AMG seat, if not offering a Recaro option to keep things whole.

I remember you traded up your old c63 for a new one and now you traded up again for a CLA45. Congratulations on the new ride, it looks great! I'm curious, in comparison with your c63, is the CLA smaller inside as well or just about the same?

Thanks! Yep...I have a sickness. I can't seem to keep a car longer than 2 years! The CLA45 seems a little smaller inside but I'm definitely not cramped. I don't know the specs but it does feel a bit wider overall than the C63 though.

I prefer the CLA45 to the C63 when it comes to AWD vs RWD. I've always been more of an AWD guy so this doesn't surprise me. It just has a ton more grip than the C63. I feel a lot more confident driving fast on back roads. I don't track my cars so I can't really say how they compared at their extreme limits but the CLA45 feels more planted in day to day driving. There was a lot more skill involved with making the C63 go fast....so much power on tap it was hard to know just how much juice you could give her before a loss of traction. I do miss the extra power although when my tune arrives I think it'll help close the gap a bit more. The key to the CLA45 is to have the tranny in S or M mode with ESP Sport on. It really wakes the car up and ESP Sport kicks more torque to the rear. I find the car very blah in C with ECO mode on where the C63 was still a freight train in C mode. It may not be the most sophisticated AWD system but it seems to work quite well and much better than the haldex system in my old 09 TTS.

Eurocharged. Had one for my C63 so figured I'd try their CLA45 tune. Only issue with them is they never seem to have any stock! Who knows when I'll get it. Ordered it a week ago. I remember my C63 programmer taking a month from order to delivery so I'm not holding my breath!
