blow off valve making car feel slower?
just installed the Forge BOV and for some reason the car feels a bit slower. probably just in my head but does anyone else agree? i can at least tell that the BRAPPPP sound has weakened upon gear change. anyway, just wondering what others have experienced. John

Well you installed a part on the car that is not accounted for by the ECU, was not part of the original mechanical design, and had not been tested or proven to provide any tangible benefits other than a ricer "whoosh" sound...
Very few cars under 1000hp actually Require a vent to atmosphere blow off valve. This is also not AMG's first turbo engine, if it required a blow off valve, it would have been there from the factory.
Edit: You're losing power on shifts because you are letting pressure out... BLOW OFF VALVE, it does exactly as it states. The car is not designed to vent to atmosphere as stock, and it's why you're loosing power on shifts.

This is interesting. I didn't notice it on my end, feels good to me. Maybe because I dont really push it often like others on here. I have the power there when I need it. Aesthetics wise it's still a car that still sticks out.
To each his own on perception of a "ricer" look.

well to be honest, only because of the blow off sound. i know others may think its annoying but i enjoy it. as far as the exhaust note, nothing has changed and on sport mode, the BRAPPP sound is actually the same. i have read that the valve may be needed in the future with developing mods. John
